Thomas Nankervis

I am currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology at Griffith University. As a competitive swimmer at the elite level, I have always been driven by a desire to understand the "why" behind my training — why certain techniques are coached the way they are, how the body adapts to different physiological demands, and how biomechanical efficiency translates directly to performance in the water.

Every time I study the physiological underpinnings of endurance training, analyse movement mechanics, or explore how the body responds to stress and recovery, I am simultaneously developing as an athlete and as a future practitioner. This integration gives my study genuine purpose and sustains my motivation through the most demanding periods of both training and the academic calendar.
