Aiden Carberry
Paddle | The University of Adelaide | Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering

I am drawn to engineering’s potential to make a real difference in people’s lives. I look forward to working on projects that involve innovation and problem-solving, whether in sports technology or other industries. Alongside my studies, I am highly dedicated to canoe sprint (kayak) racing, my ultimate goal is to represent Australia at the Junior World Championships, Senior World Championships, and the Olympics.
The training schedule for canoe sprint is intense, requiring multiple sessions per day, alongside the demands of university coursework. This makes it difficult to maintain regular employment while keeping up with my academic and athletic commitments. Financial assistance would provide the flexibility to take on part-time work when possible without compromising my training, recovery, or studies. This support will help me pursue my goal of representing Australia while simultaneously building a strong foundation for my future career in engineering.
