Gabrielle Ryan (nee King)

The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) mission is to lead and enable a united high performance (HP) system that supports Australian athletes/teams to achieve podium success.

Brings her experiences as a world-champion athlete and coach to her clinical practice

Gabrielle is passionate about working with athletes - a legacy of her time representing Australia in sailing. Her experience as an athlete and a coach gives her unique insight into the challenges athletes face and the mindset they need to perform.

Gabrielle specialises in treating anxiety and stress, depression, and difficulties with adjustment to life changes. She has experience in private practice, specialist anxiety units, inpatient and outpatient settings, and delivering workshops to corporate clients and sporting teams.

Gabrielle completed her Masters of Clinical Psychology and PhD at the University of New South Wales. She is involved in research aimed at understanding vulnerability  and resilience to anxiety disorders and has several publications to her name.
