John Saboisky
The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) mission is to lead and enable a united high performance (HP) system that supports Australian athletes/teams to achieve podium success.

With over 37 years of experience working with both inpatients and outpatients, Dr Saboisky brings with him a wealth of clinical knowledge and expertise.
Dr John Saboisky completed his medical degree at UNSW in 1976 and stated his medical career in Canberra in 1976. He returned to Sydney to complete his training in psychiatry, returning to Canberra in 1983 to set up a private practice.
Working continuously in Canberra since 1983, he has made a point of working in multiple facets of clinical care. He predominantly consults individuals and is the founding medical director of Hyson Green, a 34 bed private ward. In addition, he teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate doctors, maintains a busy medico-legal practice and has just started Canberra’s first TMS service.
He previously chaired the ACT Branch of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College and is a consultant to Companion House. Over the years he has assessed and treated many athletes and was happy to accept a recent offer to be part of the AIS clinical team.
