Shayne Hanks
The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) mission is to lead and enable a united high performance (HP) system that supports Australian athletes/teams to achieve podium success.

Understands the elite sporting environment and the unique demands and pressure that elite sport places on athletes.
Shayne is a Sport Psychologist with 20 years’ experience in working with amateur, elite, and professional athletes and teams. Shayne worked for the Western Australian Institute of Sport for 5 years and worked with state, national, and international level athletes including Olympians and Paralympians.
He has extensive experience in providing mental health support to both developing and senior elite athletes. He has also working extensively with business organisations and the military. He has a thorough understanding of the elite sporting environment and understands the unique demands and pressure that elite sport places on athletes. He further understands the mental health concerns that can be associated with, or exacerbated by, elite sport and this gives him a well-established and well-credentialed platform upon which to base lasting behavioural change and improved performance.
