Professional Skills Programs

Target Audience:

• This course is ideal for learners who are increasingly responsible for project delivery and require further exposure to project management frameworks, tools and methodologies.
• As a learner, you will be expected to come prepared to this program with a real, live project you are either currently working on or will soon commence – this project will form the basis of application exercises during the program.

Program Intention:

• This program will provide learners with the pragmatic tools, practices and mindsets needed to effectively deliver projects.
• The program’s focus will be around tangible project management practices which learners can immediately deploy into their work to simplify and improve project delivery, rather than teaching a specific project management methodology.

Program Format:

• Pre-course group connection session (1 hour)
• 2 full days in person workshop
• Post-course group connection session (1 hour)

Lead Well: Ethical Leadership in Sport (Online Course)

This free online course is designed to build understanding and capability in ethical and values-based leadership within Australia’s contemporary sports sector.

Through interactive, practical decision-making scenarios, leaders will gain insights into concepts such as ethics and integrity in leading sport, and the different considerations and outcomes that flow from our decisions.

This course serves as a precursor to the 2-day in-person Lead Well: Ethical Edge program.

Delivery Model:

• 1 hour self-paced online
• Standalone learning experience (no face-to-face component)

Target Audience:

• Suitable for a wide range of sport sector professionals

Lead Well: Ethical Edge

Program aims to build upon Lead Well: Ethical Leadership in Sport online course. Participants will gain a deeper understanding and capability around the theory and practice of ethical and values-based leadership as it applies in Australia's contemporary sports sector. The program will prepare and support NSO/NSOD/NIN leaders and stakeholders to establish ethical cultures within their organisations or programs, as well as to rapidly, effectively and appropriately respond to ethically challenging leadership scenarios.

Delivery Model:

• 2 full day workshops
• 3 online coaching circle sessions (3 hours each)

Target Audience:

• Suitable for experienced senior leaders currently working in a NSO/D or NIN or other senior sporting program.

Program aims to enable leaders to broaden their perspectives and enhance how they develop others to succeed in a complex and continuously changing environment. This program is targeted at leaders across all levels of the sport system.
