Leigh Godfrey is a 2020 Olympian and Softball WA’s High Performance Lead Coach. As part of her role, she manages Softball Australia's new Performance Training Centre program in Western Australia. Leigh has played professionally and attended division one college in America on a scholarship for softball. She represented Australia at a senior level for over 15 years, which included selection in 5 World Championships (this included winning two bronze medals).She represented WA at the National Championships for over 20 years, this included winning 3 National Championships. Leigh is the first player ever to represent Australia at a World Championships in Baseball and Softball in the same calendar year. She won a bronze medal at each event. Leigh has now transitioned into coaching and is working on both Softball Australia and Softball WA High Performance teams. She has recently been appointed the U19 Australian Head Coach for this year.
