Shara Romer
Shara Romer is a highly accomplished boxing coach who began her coaching career in 2010. She quickly attained her AIBA Star 1 and 2 and Cuts persons accreditation through Boxing Australia and went on to coach at numerous international camps and competitions. Shara has achieved many milestones throughout her career including the role of support coach at the Rio Olympics, assistant coach at the 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth Games, and being the first female Australian amateur coach to do so. In 2022 Shara joined CombatAus under the National Generation 2032 Coach Program, working closely with the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) to develop a pathway to the 2032 Olympics, with sights set on achieving goals for the upcoming Paris Games. Shara's accomplishments in the sport are a testament to her hard work, dedication, and passion. |
