Ruby Storm
Swimming

As a small child I was I was terrified of water but after watching my sister swim I eventually overcame my fears and joined the Traralgon Swimming Club. I competed at my first nationals when I was 12 on a development team for the Para Pan Pacs held in Cairns. Later I competed at the 2019 Para World Championships in London were I was part of the S14 4 x 100 freestyle relay winning bronze. I was selected for the Tokyo Paralympics and won a bronze medal in the S14 100 butterfly and a silver medal in the s14 4x100 freestyle relay.
I made the Worlds Team for Maderia in 2022 and again was part of the relay team winning silver. I also competed at the Commonwealth Games swimming in the S14 200 freestyle event where I came 6th. At the World Para Championships in Manchester 2023 I was part of the silver medal relay team.
Most recently I competed at the Paris Paralympics winning a silver medal in the S14 relay team. I would like to be part of Share A Yarn Program to promote sport to Indigenous people with all abilities. I am hoping to make friends with other athletes from other sports and to understand more about their cultural backgrounds.
