The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) mission is to lead and enable a united high performance (HP) system that supports Australian athletes/teams to achieve podium success.

With all the amenities of a world-class tourist attraction and located close to town, the AIS Arena is the ideal venue for big events in Canberra. The AIS Arena has played host to a variety of entertainment events such as concerts, major sporting events, ice shows and circuses.

Audiences in the acoustically designed AIS Arena have been wowed by the likes of Pink, Lady Gaga, the Hilltop Hoods, the Wiggles, Harlem Globetrotters and many more.

They have also been on the edge of their seats for many nail biting encounters across a range of sports including international netball tests, Roller Derby bouts, WNBL games (the home of the Canberra Capitals), international volleyball matches and much more.

By adapting seating, staging and draping, the AIS Arena can offer concert and theatre capacities from 500 total seating through to the maximum capacity of 4,200 and still create a great atmosphere for artist and audience.

Entertainment at the AIS Arena

As Canberra's largest multi-purpose venue, it is capable of holding concerts, theatre performances, conventions, conferences, gala dinners, expos and indoor sports events, the AIS Arena has a seating capacity of up to 4,200 people.
