ASC Graduate Program

Thank you for your interest in the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) Graduate Program. We're excited to participate in this program and provide opportunities for new graduates to take the next step in your professional careers.

It's an exciting time to work in Australian sport, as we progress through the defining era of the Green and Gold decade to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We at the ASC have a clear role to provide opportunities for all communities to be involved in sport, while growing elite success and representation, inspiring future generations.

Does this sound like something you would like to play a role in?

Our ASC graduate program:

  • is purpose built with a graduate like you in mind
  • it bridges the gap between formal education and a professional workplace
  • it gives you access to the very best leaders of business and sport in Australia
  • it will help develop your skills in decision making, communication and leadership
  • It will help grow you personally, ensuring you embody our workplace core values of respect, integrity, teamwork and excellence.

As an ASC graduate, you will complete one of two learning pathways during your two-year program:

  • The Strategic Operations (‘Strat-Ops’) stream offers a wide variety of roles, with graduates to complete four rotations in areas such as policy development, governance, sports administration, and business management. The roles you undertake may include tasks such as analysis and research; coordination and planning; program and project management; drafting of correspondence, reports, briefs, and submissions; and a variety of other tasks to support the strategic operation and goals of the ASC.
  • The Technical Specialist (‘Tech-Spec’) stream is focused on driving innovation through specialist data and digital expertise. Graduates will complete two rotations with placements based on their domain of specialty, including (but not limited to) cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, machine learning, data analysis, business analysis, and UX/UI design.

We look forward to welcoming the next generation of staff to our workforce, to help us build sustainable success in Australian sport for decades to come.
