Paul has a strong background in governance, compliance and regulatory affairs, working at senior levels of regulatory organisations at both state and commonwealth levels.

He served as the president of Triathlon Victoria and as an independent member of the North Melbourne Football Club integrity committee and the board of Skate Australia. Paul was appointed to the board of AUS Triathlon in 2024 and elected as chair in the same year.
