AIS REST Hub Lead Physiologist Steph Shell and AIS National Performance Nutrition Network Lead Gary Slater will join the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) Performance Support team in Paris next year.

Shell, who has also been named on the Paralympics support team for Paris brings a wealth of Games experience. At the Birmingham and Tokyo Games, Shell assisted with setting up multiple recovery hubs across competition and accommodation sites. These sites offered much-needed ice baths, inflatable compression equipment as well as cooling or heating strategies.

For Slater this will be his second Olympic appointment as the Nutrition Lead, after demonstrating great leadership on the ground in Toyko where he helped strengthen the nutrition network across the NIN which benefited the sports.
