Australian diver Matthew Mitcham is among three AIS ambassadors to be named as a finalist.

Webster has been nominated for the LGBTQ Inclusive Coach of the Year while both Mitcham and alumni ambassador Williams have both been nominated for the LQBTQ Out Role Model Award.

The sixth annual awards will be held in Melbourne on May 10 and see sporting identities, clubs and codes across the country gather to celebrate LGBTQ+ inclusion in Australian sport.

This is the second time our ambassadors have been recognised on the national stage with Dominic Clarke (Gymnastics Australia) winning the LGBTQ Out Role Model Award in 2022.

The AIS Thrive with Pride Program sees rainbow athletes and allies drive LGBTIQ+ inclusion initiatives within their sporting communities while engaging the expertise of Pride in Sport and Proud 2 Play.
