Today we celebrate National Health & Physical Education (HPE) Day – recognising the vital role HPE play in helping young Australians learn, grow, and thrive.

Every day, PE teachers and schools across the country build movement skills, resilience, teamwork, respect, and wellbeing – the foundations every child needs for life.

Through Sporting Schools, together we’re getting Aussie kids more active, more often – reaching over 2 million students every year. This is possible thanks to the dedication of 9,000+ schools and 17,000 teachers and principals.

To each of you – thank you for the energy, passion, and care you bring to HPE, and for inspiring more kids to get active every day.
