Get involved in Move It Month

Sport Australia is building on the success of the Move It AUS ‘Find Your 30’ program with Move It Month in April, when we will challenge all Australians to get active every day. It’s a big job and we can’t do it alone.

Sport Australia’s Acting CEO Robert Dalton is encouraging all National Sporting Organisations (NSOs) to get involved. “I welcome NSOs, state sporting bodies and clubs to use Move It Month as a platform to engage new participants. Together we can get more Australians playing sport and moving more often,” Mr Dalton said.

Benefits for sports

  • Leverage the Sport Australia paid media national campaign to promote your existing competitions and events, open days and ‘come and try’ days to a wider audience.
  • Use Move It Month creative assets including social tiles, digital ads and banners as well as posters.
  • Build the profile of your athlete ambassadors as they encourage people to Move It and inspire Australians to get active and involved in sport.
  • Offer prizes, free trials, registration discounts and merchandise to encourage new members to get involved in your sport during Move It Month.

Reaching the target audience

The campaign will reach approximately 5.2 million Australians who are parents of children under 16 years, with up to 50 million impressions. Move It Month will run from 1-30 April 2020.

Our social media messaging will direct people to our Facebook event page and a custom built chatbot which enables us to start and continue a conversation with our target audience throughout the month. Content will be designed to motivate behaviour change while sport and corporate partner offers will reward and incentivise participation.
