Partner Portal is coming

18 August 2020

Sport Australia and the AIS have developed a new online partner portal to share information with our key stakeholders. It is designed to be a one-stop-shop for communication and reporting between Sport Australia, the AIS and our partners.

The portal will enable greater industry engagement, increase transparency, provide greater opportunities to collaborate and network, promote upcoming events, and enable easy access to key resources.

As part of our commitment to digital transformation, we are investing in improving our systems to enhance business efficiencies and enable more meaningful communication and interaction with our stakeholders. The partner portal was developed in response to NSO feedback that they found it challenging to readily connect and network with other sports, and at times experienced delays regarding the status of their reporting with Sport Australia.

A dedicated project team has been working hard to build a system that looks to try to improve the way we engage. Some key features include:

  • Industry collaboration space – the opportunity to host online forums to enable cross-sport networking opportunities and share experiences, ideas and issues in a secure environment.
  • Document sharing – the portal has a secure online document library for two-way document sharing between users and Sport Australia and the AIS. Users can upload documents directly into the portal as well as download documents that Sport Australia and the AIS have produced specifically for that user, such as funding agreements, annual assessment reporting, budgets, and performance tracking. The library will serve as a central repository providing users with access to current and historical key documents.
  • Investment reporting and tracking – this feature enables Sport Australia and the AIS to provide an NSO with accurate, real time tracking of their investment and reporting details. Users will be able to view their annual Sport Investment Agreement including reporting requirements, due dates and payment status. Users can also receive automated due date reminders and upload related documentation directly to the portal.
  • Partner engagement – users will be able to view details of their projects which are funded by Sport Australia or the AIS, along with details relating to membership in any programs and groups.
  • Industry events – a Sport Industry Calendar has been developed to share details of upcoming industry events including forums, workshops, networking events, key announcements and other significant events. This includes the event contact, location, intended audience. The calendar has a feature enabling users to select and save relevant events directly to their Outlook calendar.
  • Contacts – users can view and update their contact details on their profile page, as well as view relevant Sport Australia and AIS staff contact information.

Sport Australia will engage a small number of NSOs during August to test and seek feedback on the portal’s functionality. We will then conduct a staged roll-out to NSOs and other stakeholders. Information and training sessions will commence in August/September with a view to have the system implemented by the end of 2019.
