Strategy Leadership Group pleased with Horizon 1 progress
Work on Australia’s High Performance 2032+ Sport Strategy continues to make good progress, as the halfway point of Horizon 1 approaches.
The week after marking significant milestones for both Paris 2024 and Brisbane 2032, the HP Strategy Leadership Group held its third meeting, coming together at the AIS in Canberra for a progress report on Horizon 1.
Horizon 1 is the first of four milestones that make up the HP 2032+ Strategy, and is focused on increasing understanding of the strategy, creating alignment, and shifting the collective mindset on what the system can do differently in the lead up to the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris.
And with Paris 2024 now less than 12 months away and just 9 years to the home Games in Brisbane, the Strategy Leadership Group discussed work on the System Investment Modelling, Overarching Measures of the strategy, and how to further socialise the strategy.
An update was also provided on the more than 60 projects that make up Horizon 1. Further updates and announcements will be made on those projects in the coming months.
The Leadership Group will meet for a fourth and final time for 2023 in Melbourne in December.
