The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) in partnership with sector stakeholders is developing the nation’s first sector codesigned National Sport Participation Strategy.
The strategy aims to transform the way participation is connected, delivered and supported in Australia and follows the launch of Australia’s High Performance 2032+ Sport Strategy, opens in a new tab.
Expressions of Interest have opened to join a Project Steering Group (PSG) to guide and support the development of the strategy due for launch in October 2023.
The PSG will consist of up to 12 members that bring knowledge and expertise from within and beyond the sports sector.
Importantly, members must represent a cross section of Australia to reflect the diversity of the sport participation community now and into the future.
The strategy will reimagine how participation is delivered in Australia.
PSG members will provide ideas, critical thinking and advice to support the development of the strategy and consult with their networks/community to bring unique insights to the group.
EOIs to join the PSG are open and close on 8 February.
All EOIs received will also be considered for other consultation and engagement opportunities.
