Biography

York-Peter Klöppel is Head of Mental Performance at the Red Bull Athlete Performance Centre (APC), where he supports elite athletes in developing mental strategies for peak performance. He established and developed the department to lead a global team of sport psychologists and Mental Performance experts.

He has empowered athletes from a vast variety of sports, including F1, football, cycling, MotoGP, tennis, golf, ice-hockey, extreme sports, and many more to achieve greatness. Most recently, he established and lead the Mental Performance department at World Tour cycling team Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe and helped the team to a first podium at the Tour de France.

He also co-hosted the Red Bull podcast Mind Set Win, offering expert insights into the psychological tools that drive success in sport and beyond.
