Resources and links related to retirement grant and funding opportunities.
- dAIS Transition Funding. The Australian Sports Commission, at its sole discretion, can consider nominations from National Sporting Organisations to provide support for an athlete who is transitioning out of competitive sport due to retirement or non-selection.
- AIS Athlete Education Scholarship. For current categorised athletes to complete a unit or course of study from an educational institution that is part of the Elite Sport Education Network (ESEN).
- Compensation Grant program. Financial support to Paralympians whose Disability Support Pension (DSP) payments have been affected due to travelling outside Australia for training and/or competitions.
- Bolstering athlete financial wellbeing. A strategic partnership between Hnry and the AIS allows categorised athletes and high-performance coaches to receive discounted access to Hnry, an innovative accounting and tax automation platform, as well as ongoing financial wellbeing education.
Female athlete programs
- AIS Athlete Accelerate Immersion Experience Grant. Provides employment-enhancing experiences for current and alumni female AIS Athlete Accelerate Program participants.
- Women in leadership grants (WLIS). Offers individual grants for women who work or volunteer in sport.
