- National Indigenous Cricket Championships, opens in a new tab. Annual tournament sees Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players from across the states and territories compete for national T20 titles.
- National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cricket Advisory Group, opens in a new tab. An officially sanctioned sub-committee of the Cricket Australia Board. This Group has the responsibility and scope to provide guidance to Cricket Australia management and the Cricket Australia Board on issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and provide strategic advice on Cricket Australia’s RAP.

Northern Territory
Imparja Cup, opens in a new tab, NT Cricket, (accessed 18 August 2025). Australia’s biggest Indigenous cricket festival, originally founded by custodians, Shane Franey and Ross Williams, as a family match between Alice Springs and Tennant Creek in 1993.
Queensland
First Nations, opens in a new tab, Queensland Cricket, (accessed 18 August 2025). It is vital that we use the game of cricket to create more opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This will be through playing, officiation, educating & opportunities for a meaningful career in cricket.
- Eddie Gilbert Program. Eddie Gilbert was the first Indigenous player to represent Queensland in the Sheffield Shield. The Eddie Gilbert program takes on various forms across Queensland's 12 cricket regions, tailored to meet the unique needs of each area. Its overarching purpose is to identify and nurture talented Indigenous players, providing them with opportunities to flourish along Queensland's Indigenous Cricket pathway.
- First Nations Community Carnivals. Queensland Cricket supports several First Nations Community carnivals that are held across the state. These events offer invaluable opportunities for participants to forge connections with fellow Indigenous cricketers, fostering a sense of belonging and providing a platform for future growth and development.
- Queensland Indigenous Representative Program. The pinnacle of the Indigenous pathway is representing Queensland at Cricket Australia's annual National Indigenous Cricket Championships (NICC). Here, Queensland selects the top male and female sides to compete against their state counterparts.
Western Australia
Aboriginal Cricket, opens in a new tab, WA Cricket, (accessed 18 August 2025). WA Cricket runs several programs, supported by the WA Cricket Foundation, that aim to engage young Aboriginal people in cricket and build their skills and love of the game.
- Leadership Program. Delivered in collaboration with a selected number of Girls Academy and Clontarf Academies, using cricket as the vehicle for demonstrating and implementing these learnings, students get to combine the fun of playing cricket with the learning opportunities provided in the program.
- Deadly Cricket. Cricket programs targeting youth and encouraging them that cricket can be played anytime, anywhere, in a fun, fast and accessible format.
- Ballardong Cricket Academy. A cricket program engaging the local community and contributing to crime and anti-social behaviour prevention. Boys and girls participate in cricket teams in an after-school program. The program nominates two Under 13 teams in the Northam Junior Cricket Association and one B Grade Team in the Northam Senior Cricket Association.
- WA Cricket and the Western Australian Aboriginal Cricket and Cultural Advisory Committee (WAACCAC). Supports programs that target all areas of the cricket pathways, from grassroots to high performance of Aboriginal people and communities.
