Basketball

Aussie Hoops, opens in a new tab. Basketball Australia’s official introductory program, providing a fun and inclusive Basketball experience for 5-10-year-olds that serves as an introduction to a lifetime of involvement in the game. In addition to promoting healthy and active lifestyles, the program serves as a platform for social development and inclusion - fostering stronger and more vibrant communities and individuals.

3x3, opens in a new tab. Created to provide an opportunity to find and tap into the millions of athletes playing unorganised basketball around the world and provide them with an avenue to showcase their skills and a pathway to compete at all levels from grassroots to the world stage.

Walking basketball, opens in a new tab. A low-impact, social and fun way to improve the levels of physical activity for inactive and slightly active Australians, including those recovering from injury. Walking Basketball is for participants across all ages, genders and abilities and helps to maintain and improve health and decrease risk factors associated with sedentary behaviour.

Wheelchair basketball, opens in a new tab. Adapted wheelchair rules were first created in the late 1940’s when basketball players returned from World War II to the U.S.A unable to play able-bodied basketball.
