Queensland Academy of Sport
Para-Unit, opens in a new tab. Launched in June 2025 as part of the national para-uplift project key initiatives of the Para-Unit include:
- Para Talent Program: A pre-elite pathway providing tailored support for 40 aspiring Para-athletes, modelled on the successful QAS Talent Support Plan program.
- Gen2032 Para Coaching Program: Developing specialised coaching pathways to strengthen Para-sport expertise across Queensland.
- Affiliate Program and Talent ID Network: Establishing partnerships with allied health professionals and networks to expand talent identification efforts.
- Revamped YouFor2032 Talent Search: Redesigned as a four-stage program to identify and develop emerging Para-talent.
Sporting Wheelies and Disabled Association
Sporting Wheelies and Disabled Association, opens in a new tab. The mission of Sporting Wheelies is to engage, empower and develop people with a disability to live a more healthy, active and fulfilled life of their choosing. They run a variety of sports programs, Exercise therapy, Inclusive school sports, and a peer support leadership program (Raising the bar - Game changers).
