Surf Life Saving Australia, opens in a new tab is a member of Pride in Sport, and values the diversity of our members. They believe that regardless of an individual’s sex, sexuality, gender identity or any other defining characteristic, everyone involved in Surf Life Saving should be included and engaged in a positive and meaningful way, which benefits both the individual and the movement.

Programs

Lifesavers with Pride, opens in a new tab support surf lifesaving clubs and their members across Australia to work towards, implement and develop activities and programs for greater inclusion of the LGBTQIA+ community. They can provide advice on: Surf club inclusion ideas and plans; engaging with surf club members who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community; encouraging greater support from straight allies; and providing advice for LGBTQIA+ surf club members.
