World Anti-Doping Agency, opens in a new tab (WADA)'s primary role is to develop, harmonise and coordinate anti-doping rules and policies across all sports and countries.
Key activities include scientific and social science research; education; intelligence & investigations; development of anti-doping capacity; and monitoring compliance with the World Anti-Doping Program.
- World Anti-Doping Code, opens in a new tab (2021). The World Anti-Doping Code (Code) is the core document that harmonizes anti-doping policies, rules and regulations within sport organizations and among public authorities around the world. It works in conjunction with eight International Standards which aim to foster consistency among anti-doping organizations in various areas.
- Prohibited List, opens in a new tab (January 2025). The List is updated at least annually. The latest version is published on WADA’s website in October and comes into force on 1 January.
