Sports Diplomacy 2032+
Sports diplomacy is how a nation engages with the world through sport, sportspeople, and sporting events.
Developed by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Australia's Sports Diplomacy Strategy 2032+, opens in a new tab sets out a new vision for Australia’s sports diplomacy.
It contains nine actions to achieve a range of goals, including to: elevate sport as a tool of national power; focus on efforts in the Indo-Pacific; project modern Australia; advance gender equality and disability equity; strengthen regional resilience through development programs; boost economic growth; strengthen Australian leadership in sport, globally; and strengthen integrity frameworks in international sport.
