Governing body

The Australian Baseball Federation, opens in a new tab (ABF) is the organisation recognised as the national and international controlling body for the sport of baseball in Australia. In performing those functions, the ABF uses the descriptor: "Baseball Australia". 3

The first Australian Baseball Council was established in 1913, but due to various issues became redundant. In 1934, delegates from each state began to meet during the annual interstate championship. These meetings became the origin of the current ABF. 1
