Creating value for your volunteers
20 November 2024
This webinar brought together a range of expertise to discuss how sport can best create value for those volunteers who play such an integral role in ensuring that it is delivered.
The session discussed how volunteering in sport stands out from volunteering in other areas due to its focus on inclusivity and community building, as well as identifying that sporting events are often not about the sport itself, but equally for the social interactions that surround them.
Understanding the impact of volunteering, celebrating the difference it makes and promoting the benefits can help to showcase its value to many would-be volunteers as well as to those who've contributed for a long period of time.
