Coaches and officials are at the heart of sport. By understanding and responding to the needs of women and girls, you help create a space where everyone feels seen, valued and supported.
The critical role coaches and officials play in shaping how boys understand themselves, others, and their place in sport. When boys are supported to develop healthy relationships with masculinity, they are more likely to become respectful teammates, confident leaders, and champions of equity.
This session explores:
- How traditional narratives of masculinity can show up in sport environments
- The impact of role modelling, language, and everyday behaviours on boys’ development Practical strategies to help boys see equity, respect, and inclusion as strengths rather than threats
- How coaches and officials can create cultures where everyone feels safe to show up as their whole self
