National Sporting Organisation (NSO) Investment 2025-26
Funded NSOs/NSODs must meet and comply with the Australian Sports Commission NSO/NSOD Recognition Criteria, as well as the requirements outlined in their ASC Grant Agreement.
Participation
Participation (Play Well) investment supports National Sporting Organisations and National Sporting Organisations for People with Disability to grow participation in sport by creating safe, inclusive, and welcoming environments that ensure everyone has a place in sport. Aligned with Play Well, Australia’s Sport Participation Strategy, investment focuses on strategy, programs, research, people, inclusion, places and products that deliver quality sporting experiences for players, coaches, and officials Play Well funding is designed to work in partnership with sport to create safe, welcoming, inclusive, and fun sporting experiences.
High Performance
High Performance (Win Well) investment is the annual investment to NSO/Ds, and other partners such as State Institutes and Academies of Sport, to support the ambitions and delivery of Australia’s Olympic, Paralympic, and Commonwealth Games sports and athletes. Allocations are aligned to Australia’s High Performance 2032+ Sport Strategy (‘the Win Well Strategy’) and considers factors such as an NSO/D’s high performance trajectory towards upcoming pinnacle events, the relative costs to run their high performance program, and the quality of their integrated high performance strategy (for Summer, Olympic, and Paralympic sports).
