Libby Kosmala Para Futures Cup
The Libby Kosmala Para Futures Cup is a four-day multi-sport competition for athletes currently involved in State Institute and Academies of Sport (SIS/SAS) Para Units.

Six years out from Brisbane 2032, the Libby Kosmala Para Futures Cup will bring together emerging Para athletes from every state and territory to compete across 12 sports at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.
Held from Friday 2 to Monday 5 October 2026, the four-day competition will give athletes ameaningful multi-sport competition experience that develops their readiness for high performance sport.
States and territories will join forces in four teams:
- Queensland and Northern Territory
- New South Wales and the ACT
- Victoria and Tasmania
- South Australia and Western Australia
The Cup is being organised by the Australian Institute of Sport and Paralympics Australia, with support from the National Institute Network and national sporting organisations.
It is part of the Para Uplift, a national movement to identify and support more Para athletes, remove barriers to high performance and provide the elite environments needed to succeed on the road to Brisbane 2032 and beyond.
The inaugural event in 2026 will serve as a pilot for a potential series of multi-sport competitions leading into Brisbane 2032, with opportunities to expand to neighbouring countries.
The event is named in honour of Paralympic shooting great Libby Kosmala OAM, who proudly represented Australia at 12 Paralympic Games and won 13 medals, including nine gold.
