Libby Kosmala Para Futures Cup
The Libby Kosmala Para Futures Cup is a four-day multi-sport competition for athletes currently involved in State Institute and Academies of Sport (SIS/SAS) Para Units.

As the inaugural event scheduled on Friday 2 to Monday 5 October 2026, the Para Futures Cup will serve as a pilot for a new series of innovative multisport competitions leading into Brisbane 2032. These events are intended to strengthen the Para sport pathway by expanding opportunities for competition, classification and qualification for developing athletes throughout the Oceania region.
Vision: Australia delivers a series of innovative multisport events in the lead up to Brisbane 2032, enhancing competition, classification and qualification opportunities across the Oceania region.
Purpose:
- Providing para athletes with a meaningful multi-sport competition experience that develops their readiness for high performance sport.
- Identifying and supporting future para sport talent through competition, observation and connection to high performance pathways.
- To strengthen para sport pathways by providing timely and accessible classification opportunities that support athlete development and progression to high performance sport.
- Building capability across coaches, performance support teams and officials by creating opportunities to operate within a competitive environment.
Athletes currently involved in SIS/SAS Para Units will be selected and invited to compete in the Libby Kosmala Para Futures Cup through their respective Para Unit Lead.
