Physical Literacy Coalition Action Plan 2025 - 2027

An image of the cover of the Physical Literacy Coalition Action Plan

The Physical Literacy Coalition has developed a two-year plan that outlines the actions we will take towards our vision that ‘Everyone develops the foundations to be active for life’.

The case for action is urgent. We know two in three Australian children don’t meet physical activity guidelines and our teens are among the least active in the world.

This Action Plan responds to these challenges with a bold, coordinated, cross-sector approach.

Putting children and youth at the center of all our initiatives in this Action Plan, we will strive to embed physical literacy as a core component of every child’s development to enable positive lifelong involvement in sport and physical activity.

An overview of the vision, mission, guiding principles, pillars and indicators of success for the action plan.

Families, school leaders, educators, sporting organisations and coaches all play a crucial role in promoting and developing physical literacy in children.
