Victorian Women in Coaching Showcase
The Victorian Institute of Sport, opens in a new tab hosted a Victorian Women in Coaching Showcase in April 2024 to support the pipeline of women in coaching and share the Bright Spots of work in Victoria.
Over 75 attendees participated in the event from state and national sporting organisations and associations, universities, government and education sectors and the Victorian Regional Sports Academies.
The Purpose
The key objectives were to raise awareness and maintain momentum for the WiHPC project, the Action Plan and the resources and toolkits to Victorian stakeholders. The VIS aimed to support organisations to share the ‘bright spots’ of great work that is occurring in the Victorian landscape. They also aimed to engage with people leading the work to progress representation and experiences of Women in Coaching. The final aim was to strengthen networking & connection, share stories, join forces and consider future activities.
