Transition Support Initiative
The Transition Support Initiative is a strategic retention mechanism designed to address the Leaky Pipeline within the high performance (HP) sport system, where women are disproportionately lost at key career transition points.
The initiative builds on the Career Support Program pilot, established in response to Recommendation 7 of the Women in High Performance Coaching (WiHPC) Action Plan, which called for broader access to career support services for women navigating transition points in the HP sport system. This document positions those pilot insights as a future-facing, business-as-usual model for supporting women through transition.
