You don’t need to book a public tour in advance. However, we advise school groups and groups over 15 people to book prior to their visit.

Entry to the AIS Visitor Centre is free. Public Tour tickets can be purchased at the Tours desk.

You will explore athlete training facilities and enjoy hands-on fun in the Sportex interactive exhibit.

To start your journey, enter through the large Visitor Centre doors. Inside, you’ll find the AIS Shop, AIS Café and the AIS Tours desk. Entry to the AIS Visitor Centre is free. Tour tickets can be purchased at the counter. See here for AIS Tours ticketing information. Access to the pool can be purchased from the Aquatic Centre reception. See here for public swimming access.

No, Sportex is not available as standalone. Sportex is included in the AIS Tour.

Yes, photography is welcome in most areas. Some locations may be restricted when athletes are training.

Yes, the tour routes are accessible and can accommodate prams or strollers.

Yes, bags or luggage can be stored at the AIS Tours desk.

Yes, the AIS Visitor Centre provides facilities for parents and carers.

Free parking, including accessible parking, is available across the road from the AIS Visitor Centre.

Yes. A dedicated drop-off point is located outside the AIS Visitor Centre for coaches and vehicles.

Yes. Buses regularly service the area. Please check Transport Canberra for current routes and schedules.

Yes. Accessible parking, pathways and facilities are available throughout the AIS precinct. Please speak with the AIS Tours staff if you require assistance during your visit.

Yes, you can shop the range of official AIS merchandise online.

Yes. There are nearby outdoor areas suitable for picnics.

Yes. A range of dietary-friendly food and beverage options are available.

Swim lanes are available to the public at the AIS Aquatic Centre. Other high-performance facilities are only available to view via guided tour.
