Perceived social and community benefits of sport and physical activity.
Views on the value and benefits of sport were more positive in 2024/25, continuing an upward trend since 2022/23. People were most likely to agree that sport and physical activity are good for health and wellbeing, and that sport can help people meet others and make friends.
While fewer believed that sport offers more benefits than other forms of physical activity, more than two-thirds agreed that people are more likely to keep up regular physical activity if they make a commitment to an organised sport activity.
