Retain
Retaining and supporting coaches across the high performance system requires leaders and organisations to maintain connections and implement targeted strategies. There are two key priorities at this stage; Exit and Energise.
Exit: This requires the identification and development of strategies to support coaches leaving their roles voluntarily or involuntarily. It can include identification of transferable skills and support mechanisms (such as the Career Practitioner Referral Network and Mental Health Referral Network).
Energise: It is important for organisations to implement purposeful strategies for renewal, resilience, and personal growth. This might involve supporting transitions into other high performance management roles or supporting mentorship training and other activities for lifelong learning.
