Organisations funded under the Department of Sport, Racing and Olympic and Paralympic Games’ (DSROPG) Active Industry Base Fund (AIBF) must implement a plan to achieve gender equity on their boards by 2029. Funded organisations must also provide DSROPG with updates on the progress of implementation in line with the AIBF reporting requirements.

Timelines

Queensland retains its current timeframe of July 2029.

Non-Compliance Measures

In 2029, DSROPG will evaluate any non-compliance of funded state level organisations with consideration given to if the organisation has made every reasonable effort to achieve the gender equity targets.

Organisations that do not meet the specified gender equity targets and timelines will be subject to accountability measures that will be determined by DSROPG. This may include financial and/or other measures.
