Volleyball
Volleyball was an Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) scholarship sport program from 1990 to 2013.
The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) volleyball program was established in 1990, initially as a men's program in partnership with the NSW Department of Sport, Recreation and Racing and the Australian Volleyball Federation, based in Sydney.
The women's program started in 1993, under a similar arrangement with Volleyball Australia, but based in Perth.
In 1996/97 both the men's and women's programs were relocated to the AIS campus in Canberra. While they were residential programs, the athletes did not live on the AIS campus but were provided with other accommodation allowances/options.
The women's program ceased in December 2004. The men's program continued until 2013, when the AIS transitioned out of athlete scholarships and sport programs. At the conclusion of the AIS programs, responsibility for coaches, athletes and programs was transferred to the principal National Sporting Organisation for volleyball at the time.

This page includes athletes who were on AIS scholarship for at least three months consecutively. All reasonable efforts have been made to ensure that the information is accurate and comprehensive.
