Are you a changemaker in sport who is passionate about equity, inclusion, and justice?
Do you want to develop the skills to lead systemic and sustainable transformative change in your organisation and the broader sporting sector?
The Australian Sports Commission is calling for Expressions of Interest from 20 individuals across the Australian sports sector to take part in a new capacity-building initiative: training to become an Intersectionality Implementation Lead.
This role is critical to putting the All-Inclusive Approach to Governance and Leadership in Australian Sport (the Roadmap) into action. Whether you’re on a board, in a leadership position, or part of a club, state or national sporting organisation, if you’re ready to lead with courage and connection, we want to hear from you.

You will be sent an Expression of Interest Form asking you to briefly outline:

- What change you’d like to see in your sport organisation or community

About the Opportunity
Successful applicants will receive:
- Specialist training in intersectionality, inclusive governance, and systemic change.
- Tools and support to implement the Roadmap across their organisation or network.
- Access to a national community of practice to share learning and strengthen impact.
- Opportunities to be a leader in driving cultural and structural change in sport.
You will be supported to:
- Facilitate the Examine – Evolve – Elevate process within your sport context.
- Influence policy, strategy, culture and practice from an intersectional lens.
- Engage with underrepresented communities and champion inclusive decision-making.

Who Should Apply?
We’re looking for people who:
- Are actively involved in sport at local, state, or national level.
- Are committed to equity, inclusion and representation in sport leadership.
- Bring insight into systems of power, marginalisation, and cultural safety.
- Are open to reflective learning and have a sphere of influence capable of influencing change.
- May be in formal governance roles, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion positions, leadership positions, or emerging leadership pathways.
