Matt is Chair of the ASC Physical Literacy Coalition and a Senior Program Manager at the Australian Sports Commission. He has more than 20 years’ experience across sport, education and government, leading national programs, strategies and partnerships that support participation and strengthen sector capability.

Matt led the establishment of the Coalition and development of its Action Plan, and now guides its implementation across sport, education, research and government. His work has included advancing national measurement of children’s physical literacy, supporting state and territory networks, embedding the Australian Physical Literacy Framework into programs and resources, and building international connections. He is committed to bringing diverse perspectives together and translating evidence into coordinated action that helps more children and young people develop the confidence, competence and motivation to be active for life.
