What is this?

Sport Connect makes it easier for your members, players, fans, administrators and more to use a digital identity of their choice when interacting with key digital services to play, compete, coach, officiate, volunteer, deliver, promote or administer sport across the country.

Sport Connect allows sport organisations to deliver a seamless digital customer experience. Using global digital identity standards, it allows secure sharing of data and reduces the complexity of managing multiple technology platforms across multiple organisations. It allows seamless customer interaction between membership systems, event/competition systems and accreditation/learning management systems – all using a common user profile and login whilst allowing for users to use an existing digital identity of their choice.

Why is it important for my organisation to offer this?

Reduce the risk of data and security breaches of your systems through strong security controls, such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) rather than a simple username and password which can easily be compromised. Know who you are interacting with through identity proofing whilst removing the need for manual processes for sighting someone’s identity documents such as birth certificates, drivers license and Medicare cards whilst reducing data breach risks by not storing identity documents within email or other systems For systems containing more sensitive information, be able to request users use a digital identity with higher levels of security and identity proofing. Consistently capture privacy consents records across the various systems in use by your sport, streamlining privacy compliance. Provide a consistent master user profile and identifier for each user across your sport to ease integration of often siloed systems, data consolidation, reporting and analytics.

How do I get onboard?

We are currently accepting expressions of interest from National and State sporting organisations to onboard to Sport Connect. Our onboarding process will help you map out the sytems you want integrate with Sport Connect, engage with your various technology vendors to assess feasibility and any associated costs, and map out a implementation plan including development of a prioritised integration roadmap and pilot.
