Why Attend?

Sport has the power to change lives — but only if it is accessible, inclusive and reflective of the people who participate. These workshops will help you:

  • Build confidence working with women and girls in sport
  • Understand the unique needs and experiences of women and girls
  • Strengthen your ability to create positive, safe and supportive environments
  • Develop skills to adapt your coaching and officiating to diverse needs
  • Leave with clear, actionable strategies you can immediately implement

Catering is provided at all workshops. Support is also available to accommodate accessibility needs, examples of this support include spaces for breastfeeding, AUSLAN interpreters and adjustments for different learning styles.

What to Expect?

These are not lecture-style workshops. You’ll engage in practical activities, discussion groups and collaborative learning tailored to the needs of participants in the room. The focus is on creating real-world solutions you can apply in your sport — no matter the size of your club or organisation.

Who Should Come?

If you’re a coach or official — at any level — working with or aspiring to work with women and girls, these workshops are for you. We welcome participants from all genders and across all communities, including people with lived experience of disability, culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and LGBTQI+ communities.
