Developing facilitators to support women coaches

Systemic barriers, gender imbalance in leadership and inconsistent learning experiences continue to limit opportunities for women coaches.

An 18-month Women in High Performance Coaching initiative was designed to better understand the coach development workforce and identify practical ways to improve the learning experiences and development pathways available to women HP coaches.

At its core, the project focused on building a national network of facilitators who can create inclusive, psychologically safe and purposeful learning environments within sporting organisations.

This resource is designed for National Sporting Organisations, National Sporting Organisations (NSOs) with people with a Disability (NSODs), National Institutes of Sport, coach development leaders, pathway and performance staff, and facilitators who are responsible for creating learning environments that better support, retain and progress women coaches in high performance sport.

For: Organisations, Individuals, Coach Development Leaders and Facilitators, Coach Educators.
