Developed as part of the Western Australian Government's implementation of the recommendations from the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. The website serves as an all-purpose child safety hub, bringing together relevant safety tips and key information about keeping children and young people safe to make them accessible and easy to locate.
Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport

- The Child Safeguarding Implementation Unit, opens in a new tab leads CITS' work to implement child safe reforms and improve the safety and wellbeing of children and young people who interact with the department and our sector partners.

Sport West

Created by Sport West, and supported by the WA Government, True Sport provides education and resources for athletes, coaches and organisations, promoting fair play and fostering positive environments in sport across WA. Initiatives cover a broad range of issues including Child safeguarding, Mental health and wellbeing, Sideline behaviour, Respectful relationships, and Cultural education.

- Athlete Safeguarding Governance and Culture Review of the Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS), opens in a new tab, Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport, (accessed 14 April 2026). Following the 2022 'Sport Integrity Australia WAIS Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Program Review', opens in a new tab, the Minister for Sport and Recreation directed the Department to conduct a review of WAIS’ safeguarding governance and culture. The department appointed KPMG Australia to perform the review. The review considered governance and culture relating to athlete safeguarding and identified areas for improvement that will ensure WAIS is providing a safe and supportive environment for all athletes, now and in the future. It also considered WAIS policies and procedures in relation to athlete safeguarding, governance, oversight, culture and complaints handling. The final report, published in July 2024 highlighted 14 findings and made 30 recommendations.
