Connection to Country
Connection to Country Action Plan
By increasing awareness of First Nations Peoples and cultures, we will unearth an environment in which we can have two-way knowledge sharing built on mutual respect and understanding. This creates an important vehicle for building community identity and social cohesion.
Our aim is to develop a Play Well Connection to Country Action Plan that promotes and upholds our commitment to reconciliation and the principle of self-determination. In doing so, this will help create culturally safe environments that support First Nations Peoples to participate in, and enjoy, all roles in sport.
Expression of Interest
The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) are pleased to invite Expressions of Interest (EOI) from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander individuals to join the Play Well First Nations Advisory Group. This group will play a vital role in shaping the Play Well Connection to County Action Plan that seeks to create safe, welcoming, inclusive and fun sporting experiences.
