Play Well

Making community sport more inclusive

The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) is seeking experts to join a Play Well Disability Sport Advisory Group (DSAG) and help shape the direction of sport participation in Australia.

The Advisory Group will play a vital role in shaping a Disability Sport Action Plan as part of the Play Well Strategy, which will identify, connect and align organisations to expand opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in and benefit from sport.

The group will:

  • Provide subject matter expertise, guidance and oversight to the ASC and/or contractors in relation to the development of a Disability Sport Action Plan
  • Encourage alignment of organisations to the Disability Sport Action Plan
  • Make data-driven decisions to enhance project execution effectiveness
  • Foster engagement and participation for people with disabilities (PwD)

Learn more about the DSAG by reading the terms of reference.

We are actively seeking individuals with knowledge, expertise and insights from both within and beyond the sports sector. Crucially, nominees should represent a cross-section of Australia, reflecting the diversity of the sport participation community both now and in the future.

If you are passionate about making a difference and increasing opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in and benefit from sport, express your interest today!

Expressions of Interest close at 5pm (AEST) Friday 6 June 2025.
