Grant Guidelines
The Remote Sporting Schools Grant Guidelines 2026 are your go-to resources for stepping through the Remote Sporting Schools program.
The grant guidelines contain information for the Remote Sporting Schools grant program and is part of the Sporting Schools program administered by the ASC. This document covers
- the purpose of the grant program
- the eligibility criteria
- eligible grant costs
- how grant applications are deemed eligible and selected
- how schools are notified and receive grant payments
- how schools will be monitored and evaluated
- responsibilities and expectations in relation to the grant opportunity.

Program Parameters
The Remote Sporting Schools Program Parameters 2026 describe the required characteristics of the Remote Sporting Schools activities.
Delivery period
Funding can be spent during the 2026 school year, for activities before, during or after school, inclusive of weekends and school holidays.
Delivery
- Deliver a minimum of one Remote Sporting Schools program during the 2026 school year, inclusive of weekends and school holidays
- Provide Remote Sporting Schools programs as a free service. Schools must not request payment from students or families to participate in activities
- Provide Remote Sporting Schools activities as complementary to existing sport and physical education curriculum delivery
- Ensure active supervision is provided for Remote Sporting Schools activities in addition to the coach or deliverer
- Spend the grant on Remote Sporting Schools activities and supported costs within the 2026 school year only
- Comply with the ASC’s financial declaration (acquittal) and reporting requirements (program delivery survey).
Program deliverers
- Schools can engage any of following to deliver a program:
- A Sporting Schools partner sport – more than 40 national sporting organisations (NSOs) and national sporting organisations for people with disability (NSODs)
- A sport or physical activity provider
- A community organisation
- Teachers and/or school staff to deliver school-led programs, or
- a combination of the above options.
