Working with children and police checks

Some checks are required by law, however you may also choose to conduct additional background checks depending on the tasks required or if volunteers work with children.

It is important to make sure you include reference to these in any position descriptions, so the applicant understands up front what is required of them and any potential cost or process they need to undertake.

Police checks

You may also choose to conduct a police check. For example, you may choose to conduct a police check for the club Treasurer as this role involves handling and managing finances
